Mr. Zelensky said that European airspace would be safe if Ukraine `received similar full support from partners in intercepting Russian drones and missiles`.
However, this idea does not receive support from the US and its European allies.
US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby emphasized that the US has ruled out the possibility of using its armed forces to intercept Russian missiles and drones in the conflict with Ukraine.
